The 5th Annual Lose it 4 Life Fitness Challenge wrapped up on Tuesday, April 7th at the Oliver Community Centre Hall. The Finale was an opportunity for participants to get together celebrate with friends and family, their hard work and success through this program.
Throughout the 12 weeks, Teresa Maurer, (Certified Personal Trainer), took weekly measurements for each participant registered in the program. The main focus was on body fat percentage, waist measurements, weight and more importantly looking at ourselves in a positive way.
All the results were recorded and differences from the baseline numbers calculated so that participants could see how far they had come in just 12 shorts weeks. The results were quite impressive. We had 43 of 64 finalists weigh in on week 12 and we tipped the scale at 600 lb. total weight loss and shedding a massive 1030.49 inches!
The participants were split into 4 teams ( Top prize per Team):
We had an overall winner (Team Blue) who lost 51.1 lbs. / 19.92% weight loss, and an astounding 7.7 % loss in Body Fat! This individual had a really positive attitude and shred a total of 80 inches!
Top winner of Team Yellow lost 24.3 lbs./15.12 % weight loss, losing 13.7 % body fat and 33.75 inches!
Top winner of Team Red lost 29.3 lbs./14.8% weight loss, losing 13.5% body fat and 30.75 inches ! This individual was a great participant even started a Facebook page for their Team, their efforts paid off with their team scoring the highest overall % of weight loss, body fat 30.75 inches, way to go Oliver Royal Lepage South Country Realty. (This could be YOU and your business next year?!?!)
Top winner of Team Green lost 18.7 lbs. /12.10 % weight loss, losing 11.6 % body fat and 34.09 inches.
These individuals have really moved into a positive healthy heart direction, and we anticipate major lifestyle changes still yet to come!

Registering for the 5th Annual Lose it 4 Life program gave participants a 3 month weight room pass, nutritional plan, 10 punch flex pass, wellness seminars and a professional AFAA -licensed BODYSHRED™ trainer.
