Oliver Osoyoos Branch of the Okanagan Historical Society A.G.M.
The meeting will be held in the Osoyoos United Church at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 12th.
The guest speaker is George Fraser and his topic will be: “100 Years in Osoyoos, One Family’s Perspective”.
The speaker will be at the beginning of the agenda. There will be a break after the speaker. The business portion of the meeting will begin after the break. Guests are welcome to attend and listen to the speaker but leave before the business portion of the meeting commences.
We are also looking for a new branch secretary. The duties involve recording minutes at two regular meetings a year, plus some miscellaneous correspondence. I believe this position would be suitable who finds local history interesting and has basic computer skills. Our branch rotates its meetings between OIiver and Osoyoos. The Okanagan Historical Society was founded in 1925 and produces an Annual Report that documents Okanagan history. It consists of an Executive Council and branches located from Salmon Arm to Oliver and Osoyoos which are also involved in miscellaneous local projects.
