31 year old Jacqueline Layman, mother of two young children,  found dead on Tuesday in the Glenview Avenue area of Kelowna.

A four-year-old boy and six-year-old girl are staying with their grandmother for the time being.

A fall down a set of stairs is a likely cause of death but the RCMP investigation continues. The house had signs of being broken into.

One man was taken by police Tuesday but later released.

RCMP say they have no suspects at this time and no one in custody. This is a suspicious death with serious crime unit investigating.

The RCMP and B.C. Coroners Service are expected to release further details on her death Thursday.
