A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a semi trailer truck on Highway 97 just south of Trout Creek.

47-year-old male was struck when he tried to run across the road just after 4:30 a.m. He died at the scene six kms north of Penticton.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Some delays to traffic as the investigation continues. (Latest word all traffic lanes open)
