The BBC said on Wednesday it would not renew the contract of Jeremy Clarkson, the lead presenter of its popular motoring program Top Gear who was suspended after a “fracas” with a producer.

Last November – British TV series Top Gear will be revving its way through the South Okanagan within the next few weeks.

Jon Summerland of the Okanagan Film Commission says the Top Gear film team will be heading along Highway 3 and several off-road locations for three days in the near future.

Did you know? Last week the locally filmed show was broadcast.  The cast visited businesses here  including Canadian Tire  and Lordco Osoyoos, and even did some filming in Osoyoos Buy-Low when they went through. 

Seems to be  interesting timing with the story of the lead host being fired.
