The application from owners of the Apple RV and Campsite at 915 Bulrush (north end of Tucelnuit Lake) have cleared another hurdle at the Town of Oliver.
Official Community Plan amendment bylaw 1070.03 and Zoning Amendment bylaw 1350.06 will go to a public hearing April 27th and the matter could be finalized in May.
RDOS Planning consultant Chris Garrish has recommended that the rezoning be denied as it sets a precedent of not preserving business zones of this type around the lake.

James and Cathy Hodge have proposed that the land be converted to 10 residential lots for sale. Other areas nearby are residential, one RV park, and land to the west that is designated for future multiple housing projects. The land in question would have to be raised to accommodate homes because it lies low in the flood plane.
