Four years after 18 year old Marco Corbin was killed while tubing on Osoyoos Lake, the first steps toward a trial are taking place.

Corbin died on Aug. 16, 2011. He was being towed behind a boat on a tube and was struck by another vessel. He did not survive. Corbin, grew up in Mission and was vacationing in the South Okanagan with friends at the time of the incident.

Five criminal charges laid by police only last year.

Ryan William Symington (27 at the time) is charged  with impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, failure to stop at an accident, care or control of a vessel with over .08 and the attempt to obstruct justice.
