On 2015-03-19 at 9:55AM, the Oliver RCMP were called by the BC Ambulance service to assist with an un-cooperative male refusing medical assistance on Fairview Rd, near Main St., in Oliver, BC. Upon police attendance, it was determined that the male, who was operating a motor vehicle at the time, had recently experienced some form of seizure. The sixty-seven year old male driver had no recollection of how he’d arrived at the location nor of operating a motor vehicle. The male was not determined to have been involved in a motor vehicle collision, and was otherwise uninjured. Police assisted the BC Ambulance Service in transporting the male to South Okanagan General Hospital where he was examined and released from hospital a short time later. The vehicle was towed for safe-keeping and a pet dog was placed in temporary care until family members could retrieve it.
