The Oliver Elk’s Lodge invites interested parties to submit a proposal for providing Janitorial Services for our Lodge. The Contract is for a one year term commencing May 1, 2015.

The basic details of the building to be cleaned are as follows: The Janitor shall be responsible for the discharge, in a satisfactory manner, of the various duties and responsibilities on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, or as required.

· Ensure that the main entrance to the Elks lounge and upper hall are kept clean and tidy at all times. · Ensure that all carpeted areas are vacuumed. · Ensure that all non carpeted areas throughout the Lodge, including the kitchen and bathrooms, are washed and polished. · Ensure that all toilets, sinks, and urinals are kept clean. · Ensure all washrooms are adequately supplied with toilet paper, paper towel and soap dispensers are kept full. All mirrors and chrome fixtures to be polished. · Ensure that all tiled floor areas in the lounge, including both washrooms, and non carpeted areas at the west end are washed and waxed. · Ensure that kitchen counters, sinks, cupboards and drawer facings, stove tops, fronts and sides are kept clean, stove oven to be cleaned at least once a month or as required and floor area washed. · Ensure that all main entrances to the street are kept clear of snow and ice in the winter season.

· Maintain, in proper order, all lights and light fixtures throughout the Elks Lodge, inside and outside, to the extent of his/her capabilities.

· All garbage and garbage cans to be emptied whenever there is garbage in them and garbage disposed of into the dumpster.

· Such other janitorial duties or responsibilities as may be determined from time to time, and approved by the management committee.

ONLY ONE VIEWING WILL BE CONDUCTED ON MONDAY MARCH 23, 2015 AT 2:00 P.M. As it is the purpose of the Elk’s to obtain a Proposal most suitable to the interests of the Lodge and what it wishes to accomplish, the Elk’s has the right to waive any irregularity or insufficiency in any Proposal submitted and to accept the Proposal which is deemed most favorable to the interest of the Lodge.

The lowest of any proposal will not necessarily be accepted. The Lodge will base its evaluation of the Proposal on payment rates, references, and proven experience working with similar size janitorial contracts. This is a request for proposal only, and not a call for tenders or request for binding offers. Nothing in the RFP is intended to constitute an offer of any kind by the Elk’s and no contractual obligations whatsoever shall arise as a result of the submission of a proposal in response to this RFP.

Proposals will be received at the Elk’s Lodge NO LATER THAN 4:00 p.m. Friday March 27th, 2015
