I really don’t like telephones.

Telephones remind me of the old crank style and the party line in a former life.

My business is internet based. My communications strategy is internet based.

So to readers and advertiser – potential and real.

EMAIL is the preferred method of communication

info@ODNews.ca is the new one

oliverdailynews@gmail.com is the old one

They both work well – anywhere I am. In the car, at the dentist, in a meeting – anywhere.

The phone takes you away from friends and family and is the most intrusive method of communication next to that knock at the door when you just stepped out of the shower.

FREE events and FREE classified are used every day by many with no problems. MANY.

Unfortunately a free service has a proviso – we don’t have a staff or an owner who can serve you for FREE.

I would really prefer NOT to have to handle phone calls from readers/users who cannot make their computer work as well as others. “It would be so nice if you could do this for me.”

Everyday on ODN more new comments, more new classifieds, more new event, more news – because most can make the equipment work. I cannot fix your computer or know what the problem is.

Now…. I feel better. Take a shot, have a rant on ODN – we actually love it.
