Just Imagine
Martin was somewhat despondent. Restless and listless, nothing productive was coming together for him. To ease his frustration he went outside and just lay down on the grass, looking up at the sky. The fleecy clouds and blue sky had a calming effect. He began to be captivated by the movements and configurations of the patches of cloud. This one looked a bit like a lamb skipping across the sky. That one was an elephant, complete with a trunk. Over there a ship was ploughing through the ocean waves. One cloud covered the sun for a while, displaying a silver lining. Then what was that forming? Was it a face? It was as though Someone was telling him something. Don’t give in to despair. Change your perspective. Therre are wonderful sights and great opportunities for enjoyment. Don’t just fret over the evil and injustice in the world. Remember God’s promise in John 10:10, “I am come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Martin went back to his work with a completely changed attitude.
Keeping on the sunny side,
