Discovery House is a spiritually based 12 step recovery facility for Men seeking recovery from addiction. We offer a 90 day open-ended program within a safe, secure and supportive living environment. Men that are addicted to alcohol and drugs are guided to a spiritual way of life through the 12 step process.
Discovery House provides clients with access to a wide range of services and amenities including low-cost or subsidized fitness programs, free counseling services, employment preparation, mental health services, public health services, legal advocacy, as well as many others. “In house” programs consist of life skills training, 12- step recovery groups, topical discussion groups, guest facilitators, and educational media focusing on the bio-psycho social elements of addiction.
Discovery House is the only facility of it’s kind in the South Okanagan at this time. We currently offer 5 beds in a residential setting and provide our clients with access to a wide range of services including:
- Addiction education
- Relapse prevention
- Nutrition and exercise
- Mentoring and peer support
- Medical treatment
- Employment and Income assistance
- Legal and social advocacy
- Life skills training
It is always our intention to return Fathers to their children and Son’s to their families.
