Grass and brush fires – even chimney danger

Cold nights bring out the need for a fireplace. Warm summery weather brings out the raker and the gardener with a back yard fire.

Last night OFD called to the 8000 block Hwy 97 for a chimney fire. Today reports of fires on the hills outside the fire protection zone and just now a small grass fire broke out of control on the ‘rez” just east of the hospital. (4:30pm)
