Ron Teneycke wanted a *get-out-of-jail pass today but Judge Meg Shaw said that matter is not before her.
Judge Shaw did however listen to a number assertions by Teneycke about the need for more disclosures from the crown about the case against him.
Teneycke is representing Teneycke after firing his lawyer last week. Judge Shaw told the accused that it is imperative for him to have counsel to prepare legal documents and applications.
A pre-trial date has been set for March 30th at which time all Teneycke’s applications can be heard if prepared correctly and filed with the court. A no contact order was renewed today for crown witnesses other than his sister.
Teneycke is charged with breaching release conditions and a more serious charge of possessing explosives.
Teneycke indicated he could not trust the police or any lawyers in Penticton because of an alleged conspiracy against him resulting in 23 hour a day custody in Kamloops jail. He alluded to a number of video and audio tapes that could prove his innocence.
