An Okanagan Falls man accused of several charges including, being in possession of explosives, entered a NOT guilty plea in a Penticton courtroom last Friday.
Ronald Arthur Teneycke appeared before Justice Gregory Koturbash by video conference from Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre.
Teneycke is charged with making or possessing firearms and being in possession of an explosive device, contrary to a prohibition from Dec. 27, 2013 to March 13, 2014 and a number of breaches of previously imposed conditions.
A publication ban has been imposed but today Teneycke wants an early trial date so as to defend himself and seek a release.
He fired his lawyer recently after a dispute on how to handle the case.
Teneycke’s breach of probation charges include not abiding by his curfew, not presenting himself at the door of his residence, nor answering his phone when the probation officer called.
Teneycke, 52, disagreed with those claims.
The Crown has described Teneycke as an extremely dangerous and violent individual with a high risk to re-offend.
