Firstly, thank you so much for all of the support you, as community media, have shown in publicizing our Association, and especially lately the unprecedented success of our Rep teams. Everybody seems to know about SOMHA and the various successes, and we are blessed to have community minded media to keep everyone in the know. All three rep teams have won their league and then went on to win hard fought spots in the Provincial Championships.

In talking with Dave Marcy and Terry Dawson over the weekend neither of them can recall such success in the past. In the hockey world, and such a small association, it is truly a remarkable achievement.

The kids and coaches have earned this success, and I write now asking you for more support. We have one weekend only to fundraise enough money to send full teams, non-parent coaches and families to the following three far away places:

Dawson Creek, Kitimat, and Port Hardy. As you can imagine, the teams will be needing resources to support this many people to travel and stay for the week.

If you are able to promote them at all we will be so appreciative. Also, thanks for the pancake dinner publicity! The breakfast made us about $1500! I note the Legion donated the hall, and of course you were instrumental in letting people know it was happening.

Attached is a poster, if you need anything further please let me know. And if you want a photo op Saturday we will have the boys in their jerseys packing and carrying groceries at both local grocery stores.

Our appreciation is sincere, and we thank you for all you have done. We hope the publicity you give us has helped your readership increase too, as we are well aware you are running a business!
