Former Oliver resident Ross Potter, son of Joan and the late Bob Potter, and class of 1977 Southern Okanagan Secondary School graduate, recently received his 32 year service pin from the RCMP. Prior to joining the Force, Potter started as an auxiliary member and guard in Oliver, moved to Revelstoke, BC to work in the RCMP office and then transferred to Nelson, BC where he joined the Force and began his career as a telecommunications operator. Potter now works out of the information technology division in Kelowna.
