1. Zoning Bylaw 1350.05 adopted – this bylaw corrects a number of issues with regard to building envelopes (M2), wrecking yards, metal storage containers, home occupations, flood plain regulations etc. in the industrial area AND land use designations in the Co-op, Kootenay, Fairview corridor.
2. OCP change and Zoning bylaw changes for large development west of Meadows Drive. 3.5 hectare site next to river for about 60 homes on a strata lot. Land owned by Robin Agur. Hart Buckendahl appeared before Council Monday as a representative of the house construction arm of the proposed development.
Council gave first reading to Bylaw 1070.01 (OCP) and Bylaw 1350.o3 (Zoning) to allow a change from MR (Medium Density) to LR (Low Density). The owner is now required to hold a public information meeting, present a Riparian Area Report and Environmental Impact Assessment by a qualified professional and an easement over the land to provide a pedestrian link. The plan is for manufactured homes placed on a crawl space with the land leased to home-owners. All streets and utilities would be owned by the developer.

8. Council discussed round-a-abouts and will do two things – look at Fairview Rd and Station St. as a possibility and will look at 4 ways stops west of the school as a calming measure. A round-a-bout would be paid for totally by a grant and nothing will happen on that until an approval is received.
