Saturday – Osoyoos RCMP arrested Donald Bryce Lyons at his residence after his parole was revoked and a Canada wide warrant was issued for his arrest.
Previously linked to the Independent Soldiers, Lyons was arrested without incident and is currently being held in custody
Lyons is serving an eight year sentence for various drug, violence, and weapons offences out of Winnipeg and Kelowna and was recently released on parole and living in Osoyoos at the time of his arrest.

Parole Board of Canada documents state that a 41 year old Osoyoos man will be released from a Federal Institute on the prairies Saturday on a Statutory Release after serving 2/3rds of his sentence.
It is a supervised release with conditions.
Donald Bryce Lyons is serving a first term of incarceration of 6 years on charges including possession of explosive substances, uttering threats to cause harm and conspiracy to traffic in controlled substances. The charges and conviction followed a large scale undercover police operation observing gang members and their affiliates.
Lyons was sentenced to six years for drug and weapons offences in 2009.
The National Parole Board has stated:
“You are not to consume purchase or possess alcohol or drugs and not to associate with anyone involved in criminal activity, gang activity or the drug sub-culture. You may not possess more than one cell phone. All income to be reported to a parole supervisor. A curfew has been imposed. You are not to associate with anyone involved/connected to the charges you have been convicted of.”
