My daughter was driving the small car. I’ve seen many accidents as a paramedic for the past 18 years, with at times horrific outcomes. I know our daughter sustained significant injuries. And the driver of the truck was also injured. As a parent I hope that his injuries are minimal and that they both make full recoveries.

I have seen many posts on Facebook and a few here, that were inflammatory in nature.

Looking at the massive damage to the vehicles I can say that the most important point, has for the most part been missed. And that would be that both my family and the family of the other driver should be thankful that we are helping our children recover and not arranging for their funerals.
