Highlights : Total Budget region wide is 30 million dollars (capital and operation) down $3.1 million.
Area C tax requisition $1.465 million up $103,755. Main contributor to that increase – referendum approved management cost of Frank Venables Theatre and increased spending by the parks function.
Average tax notice for provincial government, regional district, hospital district is $1555 on average home with only $578 going to the Regional District. Two main costs of general governance:
Planning, building inspection and subdivisions: $60 and administration $62 – other $34 – Total $156.
Gallagher Lake residents will be getting a notice in the mail indicating that a mistake was made in 2014 water and sewer utility fees for a new system. Resident there charged only $450 for six months.
In 2015 they will be charged $1075.
