If you heard sirens last night – two full crews attended at the scene of a chimney fire in the 4100 block Highway 97 – south of Oliver and Road 18

Home on east side of the highway reported smoke from a pellet fed stove and the house was filling with smoke.

Resident(s) asked to go outside and wait for emergency crews.  The insert at the bottom of the chimney removed.

Crews from Oliver Fire Department on the scene for over 90 minutes insuring the home was safe before leaving and residents re-entering their home.
