A successful bowling event took place at Kobau Lanes in Osoyoos Saturday.

Members Mary Roberts, Ken Yoxall, Leonard Gebhart & Allan Close of the Kiwanis Club of Oliver were bowling in the BC Bowls for Variety ~ a children’s charity. The total raised for Variety – a children’s charity – was $3,561.35.

Other participating teams were from Osoyoos Buy Low and Osoyoos Signs plus a variety of seniors from a number of leagues at Kobau Lanes. (Picture below Buy-Low Manager Brian Fry hands cheque to Kiwanis President Lee Chic)

The event is held in concert with a province-wide effort of bowlers to raise funds for Variety, A Children’s Charity.  Variety supports children across B.C. who have special needs by providing life-saving medical equipment and medication, costly mobility equipment and devices, life-enriching therapies, education and more.
