Calling all candidates! It’s once again time for the Oliver Ambassador Program to recruit candidates for the roles of Oliver Ambassadors for 2015/16.

This program encourages youth to be active volunteers in their community, challenges them to grow in public speaking skills, offers the opportunity to travel B.C., and the chance to build lifelong friendships. Candidacy is open for youth in Oliver and Ok Falls currently enrolled in grades 9 to 11.

There will be a candidate information meeting for all interested youth taking place at the SOSS Atrium on February 11th, at 3pm. Meet organizers, current Oliver Ambassador team, and our local BC Ambassador Juliana Martine. Candidates will help at volunteer events, learn new skills, and prepare a speech and personal presentation for the pageant in August where three candidates will be chosen to become Oliver Ambassadors. This program is open to young men and women, inspiring youth to be positive role models, do their best, and gain confidence.
