More charges against high-profile convicted offender Ronald Teneycke result in the Okanagan Falls man remaining in custody.
Teneycke, 52, was denied bail following a hearing in Penticton provincial court Monday on charges of possessing an explosive substance and possession of an explosive substance while prohibited by a previous court order.
Court documents reveal the charges, laid late last week, relate to allegations stemming from Dec. 27, 2013 to March 13, 2014.
Judge Brad Chapman ruled in favour of a crown arguement that the accused remain in custody, pending future court appearances.
Public concern over Teneycke was first raised in early 2007 when he returned to the South Okanagan after serving an eight-year sentence for the violent sexual assault of a 17-year-old Okanagan Falls girl in November 1993. He has since been before the courts on a number of occasions to face various unrelated charges.
