Electric is only option for us. Thankfully this winter has been mild so far but when using electricity it’s like that commercial that low income families have to chose between being warm or fed :(

Should oil companies be able to charge world prices when the rest of us have a fixed budget or low income from pensions?
No… but isn’t that what all companies do?

If you believe in free trade – why is it so hard to trade freely?
This country should be able to supply all it’s wants & needs with it’s own resources.

Do you really like going stateside?
I don’t go b/c by the time you pay for a passport & insure yourself to be across the line, it doesn’t save you any $$$.

How many times a day does your husband bug you? What is the most effective way of dealing with him?
Only when I have a bad attitude. Change my attitude!

BC Lions or Vancouver Canucks – are they worth supporting ?
No… there’s much more important things to support.

Do you like commercials on TV – do you like your “programming” supplier ?
No. No… our supplier is trying to force us to spend more on more garbage that we don’t want or can’t afford by increasing our prices & taking away more & more channels each year. What’s wrong with basic cable???

What is your biggest beef about local media – Penticton – Oliver – Osoyoos ?
Don’t really pay much attention but I would say if it becomes not local.

Your local internet news site wants input – what is wrong with it? How can it improve?
If you mean ODN… Advertising should remain on the side or have a separate page. More local discussions (real issues that affect our community) would be nice.

What local citizen you know should be knighted?
George Karpinsky… though he would never want the recognition… he busts his butt all year to feed the hungry in our community. In the winter, George volunteers in a soup kitchen. In the summer he slaves for hours a day under the hot sun in his garden to give fresh produce to the food bank. He provides a basic & vital need that all should have.

Smoking – do you like it? Can you tolerate it?
Hate it! No tolerance… can’t stand it when you are forced to inhale someone else’s smoke when entering a local business.

What street to you live on?
I live on a ‘Road’ :)… between the rivers…
