Carol Sheridan says volunteers play a major role in the success of Oliver Parks and Recreation. In a report to directors Manager Sheridan says these volunteers will be honoured with an Appreciation Breakfast in April at the Community Hall.
She says events like the Easter Egg Hunt and Scareview would not be possible without the help of the community.
1079 volunteer hours logged in for 2014 according to Sheridan. That she says is “staggering”
On another front – the new chip-reader based key system has been installed for the weight room to control access and to collect better data on useage. New key fobs will be handed out to participants as soon as the system is fully tested.
