Town of Oliver
1. General Budget meeting to finalize operations and capital budget set for 3pm Tuesday in council chambers
2. Council will hold a strategic planning session in the near future with a budgeted amount of $5500. Two members of council voted against and one was absent.

4. Two delegattions:
Meyers Bennest, President of the local chamber of commerce with a $60,000 proposal for spending on an economic development staff member doing research
Bonnie and Don Thompson – on a complaint to town hall about a tandem tractor parked in a local neighbourhood against wording of a bylaw.
Both delegations thanked for their presentations and both matters to be discussed at a future date.
5. Kiwanis Housing Society given a variance to build bedrooms on six units of the Storey Wilson Block on Kootenay Street. This unit has 8 units two with bedrooms – the rest are singles. The need is for more two person units. Council granted the variance. Cost about $200 thousand. A building permit is now needed.
