Ebola Test Negative Third Time; Patient Released
Patrice Gordon has been released after a third negative test for Ebola at Kelowna General Hospital. The disease claimed nearly 8,000 lives in the last year.
The Canadian Red Cross says Gordon was deployed to Sierra Leone on Nov. 21, as one of 24 Canadian aid workers who have travelled with the Red Cross to Ebola affected countries to help provide urgently-needed relief and care to those affected by this virus.
According to BC health authorities when she discovered she had a slight fever she drove herself directly to hospital and checked herself in to be monitored.
The Rossland mother of three boys works in Chilcotin providing health services to people in rural remote areas of the IH region.
