Residents across the RDOS with regular garbage collection on Thursday will not receive refuse collection on Christmas and New Years Days.

Residents in the City of Penticton with regular Thursday collection and residents in the Town of Oliver, West Bench, Sage Mesa and Red Wing will have their collection day shifted to Saturday during the holidays. Residents in these areas with collection on Thursday December 25^th and January 1^st will get pickup on Saturday December 27^th and January 3^rd. Regular collections for these areas resume January 8^th.

Residents in the District of Summerland and the Town of Princeton that normally receive collection on Thursdays will see their refuse day shift one day to Friday over the holidays. In these municipalities, Thursday collection areas will be collected on Friday December 26^th and January 2^nd.

Please check with your local collection calendar for recycling collection dates.

All other collection days remain the same including Friday December 26^th. If you are visiting a local landfill over the holidays please check to ensure the days of operation as some may be closed on specific days.
