“G-Force is pleased to announce that it has assembled the required pieces to the puzzle to re-launch Mount Baldy Ski Resort for the upcoming season. All that remains is to fit each of the pieces together quickly over the next few days so a final announcement can be made.” – September 30th

A deal is not a deal until it is done. I still have hope that we could have a chair to ride, a place to gather, and a much happier holiday than last year.
What keeps me hopeful?
•Matt is still here
•The maintenance is done on the Sugar Lump Chair
•and today………..Red Cat is being hauled to Snow-Tech in Penticton. Red Cat was parked at the end of the last operating season with some ailments that have to be addressed before she heads out on the slopes.
What’s happening?
It’s complicated………
•The major creditor, G-Force, and a group of investors continue to work on a solution
•Nothing is confirmed until the deal is done for the “solution”, it is court approved, and we get a press release.
•When will that happen? – I don’t know. Soon, I hope.
•A source within that group of solution makers has funded the work done on the hill so far.
What about this season?
•I don’t know, but I remain hopeful
•I don’t know what the plans will be for days of operation, or scale of operation.
•preparations are moving forward – getting the cat fixed is a good thing
What about the Eagle Chair? The annual maintenance has not been completed.
•There are a couple of routes from Beaver Trail to Jolly Jack across to the village that could help people in the village to ski to Porcupine and possibly Whiskey Jack. The upper traverse may need a little work and flagging.
So what do we do?
•wait and hope until we get a press release from the powers that be.
Why is this kind of information only coming from me?
•I am a blogger – I can get away with posting “maybe”, “possibly”, “hopefully”
