A double whammy: learning to recycle, using refundable’s as a tool to raise funds as well

OES Teacher Lori Martine with her class – abut 6 students of 21 in the programme learning the best way of collecting, sorting, cleaning and storage of milk containers, pop containers, juice containers. Martine says the program has been done for a number of years – with funds raised for the Hospital Auxiliary, Food Bank, bench for Community Garden and  other worthy causes decided upon by the class members that participate.

And they keep their hands clean as well.
