Eight teams from the Oliver Curling Club day league sallied forth December 1st to engage in the annual inter-club bonspiel between Oliver and Osoyoos.  This year the event was hosted very ably by the Osoyoos International Curling Club with expert organizing by John and Nancy Katerenchuk.  Lunch catering was by the Good Karma restaurant in Osoyoos.  A wonderful time was had by all.

Oliver came away after the 3 day event with bragging rights for the year.  The top Oliver team, and overall winner, was the Dale Dodge team.  The Pete Wicklund team placed second for Oliver.  The top Osoyoos team was the Jerry Chamberlain rink and the second Osoyoos team was the Lorne Schwindt rink.

Oliver also has bragging rights to the best overall total scores, beating the host club by a substantial margin.  Next year, it will be Oliver’s turn to host the event.  Perhaps, who knows, we might turn out to be just as gracious a host group as the Osoyoos club was this year.
