Osoyoos Elementary Dare Graduation
On December 8, 2014 the Osoyoos RCMP held a DARE (Drugs Abuse Resistance Education) graduation for 46 grade five students of the Osoyoos Elementary School. For the previous 5 weeks the students attended 2 DARE classes per week learning how to make wise and healthy choices as well as how to treat others and be good citizens in general. To reward the students and promote a continuing positive relationship between police, youth and schools the Osoyoos RCMP along with the assistance of the RCMP’s South East District Air Services, provided a one of a kind experience with the RCMP helicopter. The students watched as the helicopter landed on the Osoyoos Elementary School field and then the DARE classes enjoyed an up close experience while they climbed inside.
Congratulations to all of the DARE Grad students!
