27th Annual Rocking Horse Raffle

Doris Walton and her “Wranglers” are gearing up for another Rocking Horse Raffle.

Doris is quick to tell everyone that the Rocking Horse Raffle has been a tradition with Osoyoos Soroptimists for 27 years. The proceeds are directed to the Women’s Shelter, serving Oliver and Osoyoos.

Watch for the Soroptimists with their unique hand-made wooden rocking horse at Buy Low Foods, Family Foods and Home Hardware in Osoyoos. The Rocking Horse Winner will be announced December 20.

Soroptimist President Kate Krist says, “Our Rocking Horse Raffle is an Award Winner. In 2012, the Western Canada Region of Soroptimist International recognized our club and the rocking horse as a signature of continuing community service. It’s the kind of signature that embraces not only the Club, but everyone who supports our Raffle.”
