A rescue that took place in Oliver this past week.
A wonderful lady was walking her dog, Charlie and the dog took a STRONG interest in the shed at the back of her property while coming home from a walk. The woman could not dissuade Charlie from trying to go back to the shed so she finally decided she had to investigate to see what was of such interest to him. What she found were six small kittens, two were already frozen to death! She took the remaining four kittens in and with the help of a young neighbour they were looked after until AlleyCATS could be contacted.
Kittens are now in the care of one of our awesome foster homes, but unfortunately the smallest kitten did not survive, the other three are so far doing very well, and will all be available for adoption once old enough.
God Bless Charlie and his “not going to take no for an answer” attitude. The mom cat was later found, she had been hit by a car and was dead. AlleyCATS would gratefully accept any donations towards the kittens currently in our care.Donations can be made by mailing to Box 332,113-437 Martin Street Penticton V2A 5L1.
