At its recent Annual General Meeting the Board of Directors appointed Malcolm Mitchell of Lake Country as its new president.
Mitchell replaces Robert Dawson of Cawston.
Gordon Hahn of Oliver was appointed as the sole Vice President, replacing Colin Pritchard and Darshan Jassar.
Earlier in the Summerland meeting Board members were elected from the north and south.
The Cooperative met October 30th giving an opportunity for the membership to review the previous season and to select the leadership for the upcoming season. The primary role of the Board of Directors is to provide direction for the Cooperative.
In the north Karmjit Gill and Jeet Dukhia were elected as directors while in the south both Talwinder Bassi and Joginder Khosa were elected.
The co-operative is owned by some 500 farm families and it sorts, packs, markets and distributes a variety of B.C.-grown fruits, including apples, pears, cherries, peaches, apricots, prune plums and blueberries.
The head office is in Kelowna.
Rounding out the Board of Directors is Mitchell, Gurjinder Sandher, Jora Dhaliwal, Dawson, Gordon Hahn and Nirmal Dhaliwal.
