October 7th – Overnight Robbery of Osoyoos 7-11
At approximately 3:47 a.m., employees at the Osoyoos 7-11 called the Police to report that a male had entered the store with his face hidden with a scarf and had demanded money. The employees asked the male to remove his scarf which he did. The man then went behind the till area where he removed the money tray and exited the store fleeing southbound on foot with approximately $70.00 in stolen money.
A surveillance video of the robbery showed an unknown male in his early 20’s wearing a hat and a black jacket with a red “Lucky 13” Red devil logo on the back committing the robbery. The male did not produce a weapon and did not use any physical force during the robbery.
The subsequent Osoyoos RCMP investigation has resulted in the arrest of a 23 year old Osoyoos man for the 7-11 Robbery. The man is currently in Police custody to be remanded for court next week.
