Caesar Rosales (left), Flightcraft employee has been identified as the 55-year-old victim fatally stabbed on a city bus last Thursday in Kelowna.
“Kelowna Flightcraft staff and management were stunned, shocked, and heartbroken to learn a valued employee, colleague, and friend was lost to an unspeakable act of violence on Thursday,” read thestatement.
“As a person, Caesar was intelligent, gentle, caring, and passionate. He took the opportunity to live life to the fullest – skydiving, bungy jumping, zip lining, hiking, and walking the CN Tower – all in the last few years.”
According to the release, Rosales moved to Kelowna two years ago, having previously worked in Vancouver and the Philippines and had become “a part of the Flightcraft family”. He was the father of one child.

Tyler Jack Newton(below), 24, has charges that span back to 2008, when he would have been about 18-years-old. He is now charged with murder in the 2nd degree and was remanded into custody in a Kamloops facility.

Over this period charges against Newton (below) have included:
•theft over $5,000,
•break and enter,
•resisting arrest or obstructing a peace officer,
•multiple charges of possession of controlled substance,
•operating a vehicle while disqualified,
•possession of stolen property over $5,000,
•theft of a motor vehicle,
•possession of a substance for trafficking. With files from CBC and Castanet
