Old story that all candidate meetings can be a bit boring with biographical speeches and empty promises.

Some go to hear the speeches others attend to see if anything develops.

Both occurred – lots of speaking and one potential fight. Organizers jumped to attention when one candidate for Mayor – Doug Pederson began a finger pointing contest with a young man in the front row of the audience. It started as a duel of the fingers that might have gone outside for something more brutal but saner minds stepped in and prevented anything serious from happening.

6 candidates seeking 4 positions on council – so two won’t make it but all are fairly well known with a lot of experience. No one is predicting an outcome in the councillor race.
