Worker Killed At Fernandes Farms Packing House 3719 – 62nd Avenue in Osoyoos.

A young male worker at Fernandes Farms Packing House was found unresponsive by morning staff early Friday.  Reports from staff indicate that the individual in his early twenties was not on shift at the time, but fell from fruit bins that he had been climbing.

The BC Coroners Service said only that the death of a worker at Fernandes Farms Packing House in Osoyoos this week was “sudden”.

Interior Region Coroner Larry Marzinzik says the investigation of all unnatural, sudden and unexpected, unexplained or unattended deaths. It makes recommendations to improve public safety and prevent death in similar circumstances.
