Benefitting the South Okanagan Rehabilitation Centre for Owls
WHERE: T2 Market
5980 Sawmill Road
Oliver, B.C.
WHEN: Saturday, September 27, 2014
10:00am – 3:00pm
This Saturday, September 27, T2 Market in Oliver will turn its attention to the recycling of small appliances and power tools through the ElectroRecycle program, with help from a special guest – Houdini, the Great Horned Owl!
The South Okanagan Rehabilitation Centre for Owls (SORCO) will be on location to help event participants learn about what kinds of products can be recycled for free through the ElectroRecycle program, BC’s premier, not-for-profit small appliance and power tool recycling program. SORCO will also share other easy, proven ways to support and preserve the environment that birds live in. Participants can get rid of broken or unwanted electrical clutter and support SORCO in their efforts to ensure that birds that are now on the threatened list do not make their way to the endangered list.
Please note that while the ElectroRecycle program accepts over 300 items for recycling, it does not accept electronics such as computers, televisions, cellphones or batteries. For a full list of accepted products and more program information, visit ElectroRecycle.ca.
