Summer is done and a beautiful, colourful Autumn is upon us.
The Heritage Society and the Thrift Shop have been very busy this summer. We had an excellent “end of summer” sale to thin down the summer frocks still in stock. What was left after the sale has gone into storage to be brought out next spring. There were frequent tours through the Museum, Bassett House and Kenny McLean trophy room.
In September, members of Kenny McLean family, Nancy Schmidt, Joan Thomas, Rhonda McLean and Verna Schreiber all came to polish up the trophies in the Kenny McLean room. All the display was cleaned and oiled and it all looks so nice. Thank you so much for all your help.
A grant was received from the RDOS which will help us do some much needed work in the Museum and Bassett House. Those will be this winter’s projects. Thank you so much to the RDOS for assisting us to keep the Museum and Bassett House in good order and an interesting place to visit.
The OK Falls Heritage Society will not be meeting on a regular monthly bases. All the evening meetings have been cancelled. The Executive will look after the needs of the society. In March we will have an Annual General Meeting to elect a new executive.
If you have any concerns you would like brought to the executive, you can phone Marla Wilson at 1-778-439-2275.
