The Okanagan Falls Volunteer Fire Department is rolling out the welcome mat for families on Sunday, October 19.
The fire hall is proud to host an open house from 12-4 p.m., during which time the public can have fun and meet the firefighters who serve the community.
Events include a tour of the fire hall, face painting, a “bouncy” fire truck for the kids, a barbecue and an old fashioned marshmallow roast. No doubt the kids will love to see all of the shiny trucks and maybe toot some horns. Ever thought about being a volunteer firefighter? Well, here is your chance to learn all about it. Recruiting information will be available.
Okanagan Falls firefighters are a dedicated group of people who share a common goal – to help others in times of crisis. The camaraderie they share is a special bond that is felt throughout the community. These men and women invite you to witness that firsthand on October 19 – a day of fun and learning for the whole family.
