KEREMEOS – A half dozen rifles stolen during a residential break-in have Keremeos RCMP concerned about public safety.
Police responded to a break-in complaint Sunday from the owner of a home on Fairview Mountain in Cawston. The six stolen rifles included a Winchester 30-30, Midland 270 bolt action, Cooey 12-gauge shotgun, Cooey .22 short bolt action, Ruger .22 long rifle with scope, and a Second World War era Lee-Enfield 303.
RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating these firearms. Anyone with information on the weapons should contact their local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
