Would like to send a huge thank you and acknowledgement to the gentleman who was the only person to jump in & give a help to senior citizen in a wheelchair .
Today around 2:15pm I was driving home across the bridge after dropping kids at the pool. Traffic was stopped both ways. I was about 5th or 6th car driving into town.
I saw an older gentleman in a wheelchair trying to cross to the other side with some difficulty and very slowly. At this point he was almost at the sidewalk and cars were lining up.
The older gentleman was having really hard time to get off the road & onto the sidewalk. Nobody was trying to help him. I was ready to get out of my truck & walk all the way to help when suddenly the first two trucks driving towards the arena decided not to wait any longer despite the gentleman still struggling getting onto sidewalk.
My lane was still in a full stop when a gentleman in a silver newer model truck turned his emergency lights on, got out of his truck and helped the older disabled gentleman to get safely onto the sidewalk.
