The new Oliver Community Theatre Society will be posting the “Under New Management” sign on the new Frank Venables Theatre when it takes over the operation of the theatre from the School District next month.

In anticipation, they’ve just launched their new website at: www.venablestheatre.ca

The society was created earlier this year with the objective to animate Oliver’s wonderful new community theatre and inspire local audiences, artists and students to engage in live theatre, dance and music. They’ll also be promoting the theatre to touring artists and encouraging presentations in Oliver by artists from across the country and around the globe.

Operating primarily as a rental facility in the early years, the Society intends to work closely with many other agencies, presenters and arts organizations to make the Frank Venables Theatre into the South Okanagan’s finest centre for the performing arts.
