The British Columbia Ambassador Program is pleased to announce the selection of the 2014 Ambassador Team. During a gala event, Saturday, August 16, three candidates were chosen to represent the province as youth ambassadors.
Juliana Martine of Oliver, Navjot Takhar of Kelowna, and Cheyanne Friess of Trail were the successful candidates.
The British Columbia Ambassador Program is an annual event that takes place in August. This program is open to any young man or woman age 17 to 24, who has previously held an Ambassador/Royal title in British Columbia. Each year, three members are chosen to represent the youth of our province. As part of their duties, they travel throughout the province promoting our mandate of Education, Motivation, and Self-Esteem.
Saturday’s awards ceremony included presentation of three post-secondary bursaries as well as several scholarships.
