National and Provincial union leaders attended a rally in Naramata today in support of Local 608.
The employer Naramata Centre (United Church) has been behind a picket line for many months.

Both called on the Church to stop plans to contract out local jobs at the Naramata Centre and to bargain in good faith with the Centre’s unionized staff.
CUPE Local 608 workers at the United Church’s Centre at Naramata have been on strike for three months. Despite their years of loyal & dedicated service, the Centre’s management is now trying to contract out CUPE jobs.
