RCMP report:
Highway 97 at 160th Ave. Reported at 14:56HRS.
Small red car northbound and pickup truck southbound on Hwy 97 at 160th Ave., north of Osoyoos. Red car crossed the centre line and hit the oncoming pickup truck head on. There was one female in the car and three people in the pickup truck. All were transported to Oliver hospital. Female from the car is from Oliver and had the most severe injuries. The other three, from North Vancouver, had minor injuries and, because of the severity of the accident, were taken to hospital to be checked over. Accident is still under investigation and cause of accident is not yet known although it appears to be human error.

A woman was rushed to hospital in Oliver following a head-on crash about four kilometers north of Osoyoos this afternoon.
An RCMP officer at the scene says the vehicles involved were a small black pickup and a small red Honda sedan.
The female driver of the Honda sustained “serious injuries” and was taken by ambulance to South Okanagan General Hospital.
Three occupants of the pickup suffered minor injuries but were also taken to Oliver for treatment.
A tow-truck driver said “Apparently someone was trying to pass.” The section of Highway 97 where the accident occurred is twisting and marked with a double solid line.
The accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. and had traffic badly backed up in both directions.
